When scheduling, the price listed is an estimate based on an average-sized home. Our prices are based on square footage and the condition of the carpet. Our standard carpet cleaning starts at $69/room (includes up to 200 sq ft). *Don't forget to ask about our current specials! Additional services are offered for heavily soiled areas, pet urine, odor removal, and stain removal. All local (within service area) appointments come with a free, no-obligation estimate. The technician will measure wall-to-wall & quote you an exact price for your cleaning needs. The appointment will include time for cleaning if approved and desired.

Our service area is central South Dakota and nearby surrounding areas. If you are outside of our service area (50 miles from St. Lawrence, SD round trip) or there are high fuel costs, a trip charge may be included with your appointment, and the appointment time is subject to change or cancellation due to location.

JC Carpet Cleaners is powered by a 20.5 hp Chem-Tex Panther, a truck-mounted carpet, tile, & upholstery state-of-the-art cleaning system. We use a combination of specialty solutions, high-pressure hot water extraction, and a powerful vacuum system to remove dirt and harmful pollutants from your carpet plus reduce drying time. Cleaning is done by professionals because we understand the ph balance of your carpet & upholstery. Most manufacturer’s warranties require professional cleaning on a regular basis to stay in good standing.

Carpet typically takes between 4-6 hours to dry depending on your home atmospheric conditions. When we leave, your carpets will be damp to the touch. Effects on drying time include weather, relative humidity levels, and the type and condition of the carpet. On a wet or cold day, it will take longer to dry. To decrease drying time, keep the temperature at a comfortable level, use a fan, and on a nice day open up the house windows occasionally to let humidity out of your home; leaving your home closed up will extend drying time.

For emergency spot removal and general cleaning maintenance, a rental cleaner can be useful, however, it will not replace the deep clean provided by a truck-mounted hot water extraction system. Hot water pressure and vacuum power provided from a truck-mounted system provide a deeper clean, sanitizing your carpet and killing dust mites and bacteria. The equipment used is well-maintained and cared for by trained technicians. The use of home or rental carpet cleaning machines may put you at risk of damage to carpet, typical over-wetting, or the use of improper & inadequate cleaning solutions. We use powerful equipment and use professional products to leave your carpets ph balanced so you know your carpets are clean!

Not necessary...it's included! The area to be cleaned should be free from any and all debris or trash. DID YOU KNOW? It takes 16-20 ft for all dirt and dust to fall off shoes worn inside. Dirt & sand will scratch and grind the fibers causing resilience and dulling of carpet. You should vacuum your carpet at least once or twice a week. If you have pets or children, you should vacuum more often. With our standard service, a pre-vac is included.

We clean open areas around your furniture with light furniture moving, (i.e. small coffee tables, chairs, ottomans) with our base price. If you prefer to have furniture moved, let us know, and we will provide a quote with this included as an additional service ($10-$25/room). Please advise your carpet cleaning technician about any special requests before they begin working. (Such as damaged furniture with weak legs or loose tops, etc.) Note: JC Carpet Cleaners will not move furnishings that are too heavy, awkward, costly, or delicate to move. (i.e. – china cabinets and/or fine china, entertainment centers).

The amount of time it takes for carpet cleaning depends on square footage, how dirty the carpets are, how much furniture is to be moved, cleaned under, blocked, or tabbed for water damage protection, and which services are being performed. Typical cleaning time typically is a few hours for average non-pet soil levels.

Unfortunately, no. We will always do the very best we can but can not guarantee every stain will be removed. Our technicians will try their best to remove every stain, but sometimes the stains are set or will return over time. Should a stain return within 3 days, we will return at no charge to re-clean or oxidize the stained area at no cost to you!

No, carpet cleaning is a good secondary measure after professional extermination of pests (i.e. fleas, bed bugs, roaches, etc.). We suggest having your home bombed and treated both before having your carpets steam cleaned. The steam from the hot water extraction will kill the eggs, but the living fleas will get away, and then return if you do not have pest control professionals treat the house.

You can walk on your carpet almost immediately after we leave as long as you are wearing some sort of clean house shoes. Heavy foot traffic is suggested to be avoided until your carpets are dry. The bottom of your feet could be slick, so caution is needed when transitioning from damp carpet areas to any other surface. In most residential homes, we will rake the carpet to stand all fibers up for effective drying. If you walk on any wet carpet, it will mat down and result in uneven drying.

Generally, you should pick up loose items off the floor. Toys, books, and breakables should be put away. Relocate any small pieces of furniture such as dining room chairs, magazine racks, etc from the areas to be cleaned before we arrive. We operate with a truck and 14' trailer system. Please clear your driveway of vehicles so we can get as close as we can to your home for cleaning.
